Welcome to Hostking ("Hostking", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Agreement"), our Privacy Policy, and our Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"). Please read these terms carefully before placing an order or using any of our services.

Hostking operates internationally and provides services to customers in the United Arab Emirates through www.hostking.ae. Where you are a UAE customer, these Terms are subject to applicable UAE laws and regulations, including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Cybercrime, UAE Federal Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection, the UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020), and regulations issued by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).


1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, placing an order, or using any Hostking service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement and all policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

If you are accepting these terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to this Agreement.


2. Services

Hostking provides web hosting (shared, WordPress, Windows/ASP.NET, reseller), Linux VPS servers, domain registration and transfer, SSL certificates, business and enterprise email hosting, website security products (SiteLock, CodeGuard), and related services.

Hostking reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue any service or feature at any time. Where material changes are made, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable. Continued use of the services after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.


3. Accounts & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorised access or security breach at support@hostking.ae.

We strongly recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your account. Hostking may suspend services immediately where necessary to protect the security, integrity, or availability of our infrastructure or to protect other customers.

You must not share your account with third parties or use your account to provide services to others except under a legitimate reseller arrangement.


4. Billing & Payments

Services are billed in advance on monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, biennial, or triennial cycles as selected at the time of order. All prices are displayed in AED (UAE Dirhams) on this website unless otherwise stated.

Invoices are due on the date issued. Services that remain unpaid after 3 days may be suspended. Services that remain unpaid for 30 days or more may be terminated and all associated data permanently deleted without further notice.

VAT and other applicable taxes will be applied where required by UAE law. By placing an order you acknowledge that additional tax charges may apply.

Hostking reserves the right to amend pricing at any time. Price changes will be communicated prior to your next renewal date.


5. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider, your account will be immediately suspended pending resolution. Any associated costs incurred by Hostking as a result of the chargeback may be passed on to you. Services will only be reinstated following full resolution and settlement of the disputed amount.

If you have a billing concern, please contact us at support@hostking.ae before initiating a dispute so that we can resolve the matter directly.


6. Automated Recurring Payments

Where you enable automated recurring billing, you authorise Hostking to charge your nominated payment method automatically on each renewal date for the applicable service fees.

Payments are processed through Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). By enabling recurring billing you also agree to Stripe’s own terms and policies. Hostking is not responsible for errors or security incidents occurring on the Stripe platform.

To cancel recurring billing, you must do so at least 14 days before your next renewal date. Cancellation after this point may result in the upcoming renewal being charged.

You are responsible for any bank fees, currency conversion charges, or other charges imposed by your bank or card issuer in connection with payments to Hostking.


7. Refund Policy

Hostking offers the following refund terms:

  • Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Windows Hosting & Reseller Hosting: 30-day money-back guarantee on new orders. This applies to the first order on a new account only and does not apply to renewals, upgrades, or additional orders.
  • No refunds are provided for: domain registrations, domain renewals, domain transfers, domain redemption fees, SSL certificates, VPS servers, email hosting licences, SiteLock, CodeGuard, any other software or licence purchases, setup fees, or services purchased under a promotional price.

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the order date by contacting support@hostking.ae. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.


8. Affiliate Commissions

Affiliate commissions are subject to a minimum payout threshold of USD $50 via PayPal or USD $200 via wire transfer or WISE.

Hostking reserves the right to withhold, reverse, or forfeit commissions in cases of fraud, abuse, self-referrals, chargebacks, or violation of the affiliate programme terms.

To update your PayPal payment details, email billing@hostking.host from the address registered on your account.


9. SMS Notifications

By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive operational SMS notifications from Hostking, including invoice reminders, domain expiry alerts, and service suspension notices.

You may opt out of non-essential SMS communications at any time by contacting our support team. Opting out of operational SMS notifications may affect your ability to receive important account alerts.


10. Backups & Data Responsibility

Where backup functionality is provided as part of your hosting plan, it is offered as a courtesy feature only and is not guaranteed. Backup availability, frequency, and retention periods may vary by plan.

You are solely responsible for maintaining your own independent backups of all data, files, databases, and content hosted under your account. Hostking accepts no liability for data loss resulting from hardware failure, software error, account suspension or termination, or any other cause.

We strongly recommend using a third-party backup solution such as CodeGuard for automated, offsite backups.


11. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Hostking’s services for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:

  • Any activity that violates UAE federal or emirate-level laws, including the UAE Cybercrime Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021)
  • Hosting, distributing, or transmitting malware, spyware, ransomware, viruses, or other malicious code
  • Phishing, fraud, identity theft, or impersonation
  • Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operating open mail relays
  • Hosting content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates the rights of any third party
  • Hosting content that is illegal under UAE law, including content that violates public morals or order as defined by UAE authorities
  • Gambling or lottery services
  • Adult or pornographic content
  • Copyright or intellectual property infringement
  • Cryptocurrency mining
  • Any activity that degrades performance for other customers on shared infrastructure

Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund and, where required, reporting to relevant UAE authorities.


11A. Resource Usage — Shared Hosting

Shared hosting accounts operate in a shared environment. To maintain fair performance for all customers, the following restrictions apply:

  • No single process may consume 25% or more of server resources for longer than 90 seconds
  • Stand-alone or unattended server-side processes and daemons (including IRC daemons) are not permitted
  • Web spiders, crawlers, or indexers may not be run from shared hosting accounts
  • BitTorrent applications, peer-to-peer file sharing, and game servers are not permitted
  • Cron jobs may not be scheduled at intervals shorter than 15 minutes
  • MySQL queries must complete within 15 seconds; queries exceeding this limit may be terminated

Best practices: MySQL tables must be properly indexed. Use local file includes rather than remote URL includes. Avoid forcing HTML files to process as server-side code. Use HTTPS only where genuinely required.


11B. Excessive Usage

Excessive resource usage that affects the performance or availability of shared infrastructure may result in account suspension or mandatory upgrade to a higher-tier plan.

Excessive usage includes but is not limited to:

  • Individual databases exceeding 8GB (maximum permitted database size: 10GB)
  • Inode counts exceeding 2,000,000
  • Excessive CPU, RAM, disk I/O, bandwidth, or outbound email volume
  • Using hosting accounts as a file storage or backup repository
  • Monthly traffic exceeding 300GB where it materially impacts other customers

The following website types are not permitted on shared hosting plans: large-scale cryptocurrency exchanges, music or video streaming platforms, and high-traffic SaaS platforms. If your project requires this scale of resources, please contact us to discuss a VPS solution.


12. Email & Anti-Spam Policy

Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) from any Hostking service is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension or termination. You must comply with all applicable anti-spam laws and regulations.

Hostking monitors outbound email volumes. Accounts found to be sending excessive or suspicious volumes of email may be rate-limited or suspended pending investigation.


13. Abuse & Takedown

Hostking will act on valid abuse complaints received regarding content hosted on our infrastructure. Upon receipt of a valid complaint, we reserve the right to remove or disable access to the relevant content immediately and without prior notice.

Where required by UAE law or competent authority, Hostking will cooperate fully with UAE regulatory and law enforcement bodies, including the TDRA and relevant UAE authorities.


14. Domain Names

Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers are non-refundable once processed, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

You are responsible for ensuring that WHOIS registration details are accurate and kept up to date. Providing false or misleading WHOIS information may result in domain suspension or cancellation by the registry.

Domains are set to auto-renew only where sufficient credit or a valid payment method is available on your account. Hostking is not liable for domain expiry resulting from failed payment.

Expired domains may enter a redemption grace period during which recovery fees apply. These fees are set by the registry and may be substantial. Hostking is not liable for these fees or for the permanent loss of a domain that is not recovered within the applicable grace period.

Free domain promotions apply only to selected annual hosting packages and are subject to availability and the terms of the applicable promotion.

Hostking is not liable for failures in domain registration, renewal, or transfer that result from registry errors, third-party provider outages, or circumstances beyond our control.


15. VPS Servers

VPS servers are provided on an unmanaged basis unless a managed plan is explicitly purchased. Unmanaged VPS plans do not include OS updates, security patching, software installation, or backup services — these are the customer’s sole responsibility.

Upon cancellation of a VPS service, all data will be retained for a maximum of 30 days before permanent deletion. It is your responsibility to retrieve or migrate your data before cancellation takes effect.


16. Free Website Design

Where a free website design service is included with a hosting plan, the website must remain hosted on Hostking for a minimum period of 12 months from the date of delivery. Early cancellation of hosting during this period will forfeit the free design entitlement and the applicable design value may be invoiced.


17. Resellers

Resellers are solely responsible for the conduct, content, and compliance of their end customers. Resellers must ensure that their customers comply with this Agreement and our Acceptable Use Policy. Hostking does not provide direct support to reseller end-customers.

Violations by a reseller’s customers may result in suspension or termination of the reseller’s account.


18. Uptime Guarantee

Hostking targets 99.9% network uptime for hosting services, measured on a monthly basis. In the event of downtime that falls below this threshold and is attributable to Hostking (excluding scheduled maintenance, customer actions, force majeure, or third-party provider failures), you may request a service credit.

Service credits are the sole and exclusive remedy for downtime and will be applied as account credit only. Credits will not exceed the monthly fee paid for the affected service and will not be issued for outages of less than 15 consecutive minutes.

Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where possible and do not count toward uptime calculations.


19. Data Protection & Privacy

Hostking is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable law, including the UAE Federal Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection. Our full privacy practices are set out in our Privacy Policy.

By using our services, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Where we transfer data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections are in place.

Hostking will not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with service providers (such as payment processors) where necessary to deliver our services.


20. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hostking's services are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement.

Hostking does not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the services at your own risk.


21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable UAE law, Hostking, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or cost of substitute services, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the services, even if Hostking has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Hostking’s total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims arising under this Agreement shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Hostking for the affected service during the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UAE law.


22. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Hostking, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or relating to:

  • your use of the services;
  • your breach or alleged breach of this Agreement;
  • any content hosted, transmitted, or distributed through your account;
  • your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or
  • your infringement of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.

23. Force Majeure

Hostking shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under this Agreement where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions or regulations (including TDRA directives), labour disputes, power failures, internet or network outages, natural disasters, pandemics, or failures of third-party infrastructure providers.


24. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found by a competent court or authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.


25. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Hostking with respect to the services and supersedes all prior agreements, representations, and understandings. No modification of this Agreement shall be binding unless made in writing and agreed by Hostking.


26. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall first be referred to Hostking’s support team for attempted resolution. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the UAE.

Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or other equitable relief from any court of competent jurisdiction.


27. Changes to These Terms

Hostking may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide notice via email or through your account dashboard where practicable. Your continued use of the services after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
